Privacy policy

This policy explains how Detail Freakz (PTY) LTD ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• The address of the property you want cleaned, and the surfaces you want done.
• Messages, photos and voice notes you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or email.
• Information you submit through our Facebook or Instagram lead forms (Meta lead ads), such as name, phone number, email and suburb.
• Basic technical data from your visit to this website (for example browser type), if analytics or advertising tools are enabled.

3. How we use it

• To measure your property from publicly available satellite imagery and prepare a written quote.
• To contact you about your quote, book and carry out the job, and send invoices.
• To follow up on enquiries you made through our ads or lead forms.
• To keep business and tax records as the law requires.

We only use your information for the purpose you gave it to us, or a closely related purpose. We do not sell your information.

4. Meta lead forms and advertising

When you fill in one of our lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta Platforms shares the details you entered with us so we can contact you. Meta's own handling of your data is covered by Meta's privacy policy. If we use the Meta Pixel or similar tools on this website, they may record visits to help us measure our ads; you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

5. Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the business — such as WhatsApp/Meta for messaging, our email and website hosting providers, and our accountant — and only as needed. We share information with authorities if the law requires it. Some providers may store data outside South Africa; where they do, we rely on providers with adequate protection as POPIA requires.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become jobs are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed jobs and invoices are kept for as long as tax law requires (currently five years), then deleted.

7. Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to us using it, and ask us to stop contacting you for marketing at any time. Email info@detailfreakz.co.za. If you're unhappy with how we handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, including password-protected devices and accounts, and limiting access to people who need it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
